Aly re-initiated the advocacy committee in 2020 and has four committee members. Her goal is to have NSSOT invited as a relevant stakeholder to more partners tables/working groups to provide insight on the crucial role of occupational therapy in NS health care and to improve access to allied health professional services.

KAIT SULLIVANTreasurer
Kait is stepping into her second year as treasurer. Kait’s goal is to maintain transparency of the organization and encourage engagement and enthusiasm for our profession.

MICHAELA MURPHYNominations Chair
Michaela has been in her position for three years, and previously was part of NSSOT as a student. Michaela manages all nominations for the CAOT Citation Award annually.

LYNDSAY DUFFINSecretary
Lyndsay is entering her second year as secretary. Lyndsay’s goal is to continue to help NSSOT to advocate for the practice, effect positive change, and be a hub for OT learning.

HAYLEY MACDOUGALLSocial Media Rep
Hayley has stepped in to social media, a new position to NSSOT in 2022. Hayley’s goal is that through her work with NSSOT is to increase NSSOT’s outreach and connection OTs across the province and showcase the amazing things OTs do.

OLIVIA OSMONDSecond Year Student Rep
Olivia is a second year Occupational Therapy student. Her goal is to highlight the student perspective and advocate for educational and networking opportunities for her peers.
