Joslin entered her role as president in June 2023. Her goal is to increase awareness of NSSOT and the benefits offered to membership!
Aly re-initiated the advocacy committee in 2020 and has four committee members. Her goal is to empower occupational therapists across the province to engage in advocacy for the profession.
Marisa joined NSSOT in June 2025, her goal is to increase professional development opportunities for OTs in N.S.
Kait is stepping into her third year as treasurer. Kait’s goal is to take care of the books and increase enthusiasm of Nova Scotia occupational therapists in professional engagement.
Michaela has been in her position for five years, and previously was part of NSSOT as a student. Michaela manages all nominations for the CAOT Citation Award annually and oversees the governance of NSSOT.
Hilary is entering her 2nd year as secretary. Hilary’s goal is to support NSSOT to advance the profession through advocacy and engagement and to grow enthusiasm for the profession among OTs in Nova Scotia.
Emily is entering her second year as Communications Chair. Through this role, Emily hopes to connect with more OTs within the province and promote our incredible profession.
Chloe is a first year occupational therapy student. Chloe’s goal is to be a strong advocate for her class, amplifying their collective voice and creating opportunities for meaningful change within the system.
Jenna is a first year occupational therapy student. Jenna’s goal this year is to represent her class, ensure their voices are heard, and work toward positive, impactful change. She hopes to bring a student perspective to NSSOT.
Abby is a second year occupational therapy student. Abby’s goal for this year is to connect students with NSSOT members and practicing occupational therapists, while supporting opportunities for learning and professional networking.
Hannah is a second year occupational therapy student. Her goal this year is to connect students with education and networking opportunities to support the initial stages of their journey into the field.
Genea has been with NSSOT for over 10 years and takes care of all things NSSOT!
